Overview
The Komodo day trip we send our friends on. A shared speedboat from Labuan Bajo, six of the most photographed spots in Indonesia, and a guide who knows the captains. You are back in town by sunset with a camera roll that does not need a filter. Asik curates the schedule and handles your hotel pickup; the boat and certified guide are run by a long-standing local partner whose safety standards we trust.
Day 1
Hotel pickup in central Labuan Bajo and a short ride to the harbor for a briefing and life jackets.
Depart by speedboat (around 75 minutes) for Padar Island.
The famous Padar three-bay summit hike (30 to 45 minutes up) for the panorama.
Pink Beach, one of only seven pink-sand beaches on Earth, to snorkel straight off the sand.
Land on Komodo Island, where a park ranger walks you through real dragon territory.
Indonesian lunch at the ranger station.
The Taka Makasar sandbar in the middle of the Flores Sea.
A drift snorkel at Manta Point (April to November is best).
A calm close with green sea turtles at Turtle Bay.
Speedboat back to Labuan Bajo and a hotel drop-off.
Hotel pickup at 06:30, departure around 07:00, and return between 16:15 and 17:00 depending on sea conditions. Plenty of time to clean up before a sunset dinner in town.
No. Life jackets are provided at every stop, and Pink Beach, Taka Makasar, and Turtle Bay all have calm, shallow water. The guide stays close at Manta Point, and non-swimmers can stay on the boat there.
As of late 2024, foreign visitors pay around IDR 400,000 per person total (entrance plus ranger fees) and Indonesian nationals around IDR 200,000, paid in cash at the park. Rates can change by regulation; we send you the current figure before your trip.
Manta Point is one of the world's most reliable manta cleaning stations, but it is weather and season dependent. April through November is best, when roughly 80 percent of trips see them. Our guides know exactly where to drop in.
It is the most demanding part of the day: about 30 to 45 minutes each way on rocky, uneven terrain with some steep sections. Reasonably fit people in their 60s do it regularly. Wear closed-toed shoes, bring water, and start early.
Asik Travel curates and runs the experience end to end. On the water we work with a trusted long-standing local partner whose speedboats and certified guides we stand behind. You book with us and we are the ones you message all day.
