What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They let the site remember things between page loads (your language, what is in your wishlist) and they let us measure how well the site works in aggregate.

Cookies we set ourselves (essential)

NEXT_LOCALE — remembers which language you chose. 12 months.

asik_wishlist / asik_recently_viewed — your saved tours and recently viewed list. Lives in localStorage, not a cookie, but the same principle applies. 24 months.

asik_consent — remembers your cookie consent choice so we don't ask every visit. 12 months.

These are strictly necessary for the site to function and are set without consent under GDPR Art. 6(1)(f) and the EU ePrivacy Directive.

Cookies we set with your consent

Google Analytics 4 (cookies named _ga, _ga_*): aggregated, anonymised usage measurement. We set IP anonymisation on. We do NOT use Google Ads or remarketing cookies. 14 months.

If you decline analytics, none of these load.

Third-party cookies on embedded content

Some pages embed a YouTube video or a map. When you click play or interact, YouTube or Google may set their own cookies under their privacy policy. We use the privacy-enhanced YouTube domain (youtube-nocookie.com) where supported. Map tiles come from OpenStreetMap which does not set tracking cookies.

How to change your choice

You can change your consent any time using the "Cookie settings" link in our footer. You can also clear cookies in your browser — every major browser has a privacy section that lets you delete individual cookies or block all of them.

Blocking all cookies will break the site (you won't stay logged in, language won't stick). Blocking analytics cookies only has no functional impact.

Do Not Track

We honour the browser-level Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If GPC is on, we treat that as consent withdrawal for analytics, even if you previously accepted.
