Overview
Three days aboard a modern phinisi through Komodo National Park, sleeping inside the park rather than commuting to it. That single difference is what buys you Padar at sunrise with nobody else on the ridge, and the reefs before the day boats arrive from Labuan Bajo.
The route takes in Padar at both golden hour and sunrise, Manta Point, the dragons at Loh Liang on Komodo Island, Pink Beach, the Kalong bat flight at dusk, and quieter snorkel sites at Sebayur, Pengah, Manjarite and Kelor. For anyone weighing up Labuan Bajo diving against snorkelling, everything on this trip works from the surface, and the coral at Pengah is usually the best of the three days.
How many people sail with you depends on which boat you pick below. The Elbark has nine cabins across three decks; the Ballona has eight and takes up to twenty-five guests. Both are small enough to move on when a site is busy, which is the point of a boat this size in the park. Transfers from your hotel or the airport to the harbour are included at both ends.
Day 1
Hotel or airport pickup and transfer to the harbour. Board the Phinisi, cabin orientation, welcome briefing on the sundeck.
Sail to Sebayur or Siaba for the first snorkel at a gentle reef.
Lunch aboard while cruising to Taka Makasar.
Taka Makasar sandbar for swimming and sunbathing.
Manta Point drift snorkel for oceanic manta rays.
Padar Island visit at golden hour with a viewpoint hike.
Kalong Island, where thousands of flying fox fruit bats take off at sunset.
Dinner aboard, movies or karaoke on the sundeck.
Day 2
Wake call with a quick coffee.
Padar Island sunrise hike to the famous viewpoint.
Breakfast aboard while sailing to Pink Beach.
Pink Beach swim and snorkel over reef with crushed red coral.
Komodo Island, a ranger guided walk through dragon habitat at Loh Liang.
Lunch aboard while cruising to Pengah Island.
Pengah Island snorkel at a less visited reef.
Free time: paddleboard, canoe, swim, or rest.
Sunset cruise back toward Kalong, dinner aboard.
Day 3
Breakfast aboard.
Kelor Island short hike for panoramic views.
Manjarite final snorkel in calm, shallow, colourful water.
Cruise back to Labuan Bajo, packing time and a sundeck breakfast.
Arrive Labuan Bajo harbour, disembark with transfer to hotel or airport.

No charge yet. We confirm dates and availability first.
Two options: pay the cabin times two to keep it private, or join the share-cabin waitlist for solo guests of the same gender, where you pay just one seat. The waitlist works for most solo guests on our open trips.
The Flores Sea is generally calm in dry season (April to November), the Phinisi is heavy and stable, and we anchor in protected coves overnight. If you are prone to seasickness, bring tablets just in case; we also carry basic remedies.
Padar at sunrise is a 30 to 45 minute climb on uneven terrain and is the most demanding part. Komodo treks are gentle and snorkeling is optional everywhere. We have taken couples in their 70s and families with kids over 5 on the same trip.
Asik Travel curates and sells this trip end to end and is your booking contact throughout. The vessel is built and operated by our partner shipyard, Elbark Cruises, a modern Phinisi specialist. You book with us; the boat is a partner asset.
Full terms are confirmed with your booking. Bank transfer fees are paid by the sender.
An open trip runs on whichever vessel has your cabin free on the date. Every boat below sails this itinerary. Compare the cabins, then tell us which one you want.
