A Labengki Sombori tour starts in Kendari, Southeast Sulawesi, and runs three to six days. With six travellers sharing, our packages cost from IDR 4,100,000 (about $230) per person for three days to IDR 6,395,000 for six, with the boat, simple rooms on Labengki, three meals a day and entrance fees included.
These are private trips, so the rate per person rises as the group shrinks. Two people pay IDR 7,150,000 each for the same three days. Prices are from our tour pages in October 2026.

The boat, the fuel, the crew and the guide cost the same for one person as for six, which is why two travellers pay nearly double the six-person rate. A cottage instead of a homestay room costs more: IDR 5,365,000 per person on the three-day trip with six sharing.
Which length to book
The three-day Labengki Sombori trip is the short version. It gives Sombori one full day: Red Sand Beach, Allo Cave, Diamond Cave and the steep climb to Puncak Kayangan for the view everyone photographs.
Four days is the one we suggest most often. The four-day package keeps the Sombori day and adds the Labengki side, with the Blue Lagoon, the lighthouse and the Swimming Pool Cave, so the trip stops feeling like a march.
Five and six days add slack. The sea sets the day plan here, and when an afternoon turns rough the guides swap exposed stops for sheltered ones. On a longer trip that costs you nothing. On three days it can cost a headline sight.
Labengki and Sombori, Southeast Sulawesi
Four days, both islands done properly
A full day on Sombori for the caves and Puncak Kayangan, then a full day on Labengki for the Blue Lagoon, Twin Lagoon and the lighthouse. Pickup in Kendari at 08:00.
Open trip or private trip
Ours are private by default. The boat, the guide and the itinerary are your group's, and if you would rather share the cost we try to pair you with another small group on your dates. We do not put you with strangers without asking.
Shared open trips sold by others are cheaper. In September 2026, public listings for three days from Kendari airport ran IDR 1,300,000 to 1,500,000 per person, sharing the boat with the whole group. Our Labengki and Sombori guide lists what to check before booking one.
What the rooms are like
Simple. Rooms are twin share with a shared bathroom, in a homestay or in a cottage a step above it. There is no air conditioning, and the electricity comes from a generator that runs from about 18:00 to 06:00. Phone signal is patchy on Labengki and mostly absent around Sombori. Sombori has no accommodation at all, so every night is spent on Labengki.
Arrive in Kendari the night before
Pickup is at 08:00, and no same-day flight connection makes it. Sleep in Kendari the night before the trip, and again after it if your onward flight matters, because the return crossing depends on the sea.
What is included
Wooden boat transport for the whole trip, accommodation on Labengki, three meals a day while island hopping, drinking water, entrance fees at every stop, an English or Indonesian speaking guide, and trip photos and video.
Not included: flights to Kendari, a hotel in Kendari before or after, and snorkel gear, which rents for about IDR 40,000 a day on Labengki. If Labengki is one stop on a longer route, our Sulawesi travel guide shows how the island fits together.
Booking a Labengki Sombori tour
Send your dates and the number of travellers. We quote the rate for your exact group size and tell you plainly what the sea usually does that month. Start with a trip request here, and buy flights to Kendari once the boat is confirmed.
